Refreshingly vibrant and juicy, the 2016 Sauvignon shows enticing aromas of citrus blossom and lemon grass with hints of jasmine and crisp, freshly-sliced fennel bulb. This latest offering is supple and bright and, at 12.5% alcohol, is wonderfully light on its feet. Around 5% of the fruit was fermented in contact with its skins and held for two months, drawing out the more complex flavours that reside in the skins. The grape skins also contain phenolics which, combined with the natural acidity, give the fresh back bone to this wine. Adding further interest, 30% of the juice was fermented in neutral oak barrels. Our naturally low yields, older vines, small canopies and judicious, labour-intensive hand picking of the entire crop are also factors in producing this uniquely Martinborough style of Sauvignon Blanc.

This Rosé is made entirely from premium Pinot Noir grapes from the Martinborough Terrace. 30% of the grapes have been fermented in aged French oak barrels which gives this Rosé a nice texture. Relatively low in Alcohol (12%) and with a crisp acidity, this is your ideal summer picnic wine.

100% Pinot Noir from our Te Muna Rd vineyard has given us a wonderfully perfumed, strawberry aromatic wine. Left on skins for a mere 6 hours then barrel fermented in old oak a very delicate perfect blush coloured Pinot Rosé has resulted.
grava’s Rosé is produced predominantly from a single Pinot Noir clone, picked early to ensure lively acidity to back up the fruit forward characters which represent a great Rosé. The wine is given minimal skin contact in the press - resulting in a subtle salmon-coloured wine.
The 2015 grava Rosé was fermented in 500 litre puncheons to produce a fruit-driven wine with a layer of mineral complexity.
