Made from handpicked fruit off the home Hinakura Vineyard, the newly-released 2020 vintage has a delightful bouquet of ripe dark raspberry, black cherry and dark berry fruits, with hints of violet, liquorice, thyme and savoury, spicy notes on a well-structured, elegant palate with plenty of fruit weight.
This is a concentrated full-bodied and deeply coloured pinot noir. The wine has vibrancy, energy and power with a smooth finish and great mouthfeel, it should be matched with duck, venison, grilled meat and game dishes over the next five to six years. As a young wine, cellaring will be rewarded with greater complexity.
