I find the determination of those who invest in the produce of the land inspirational. Judy Dell and Griff Page have 0.75 ha of Dijon clone Pinot Noir planted on Te Maire Road, between Martinborough and Featherston and have begun to release wine under the ‘Te Maire Rise' label, the wine made by Chris Buring at Oak House. Judy and Griff have persevered and made a minuscule amount of wine, with the intent of progressing the style. Working with the cooler vintage fruit, the oak regime incorporates newer barrels. - Raymond Chan
