Little Biddy® Gin – Gold Label is characterised by a backbone of distilled local grain spirit, wild water, and hand harvested native botanicals, boasting an elevated sophistication that is truly divine.
Little Biddy® Gin – Gold Label displays a botanical intensity reminiscent of the loftiest heights of the West Coast rainforest and the purest depths of the wild water feeding it. Foraged Watercress, Snow Moss, Kahikatea tips, and Toatoa all deliver a soulful aromatic experience. It exhibits a bright, and surprising effervescence on the nose, subtle hints of wasabi freshness, sweet caramelised lime, and a delicate earthed minerality.
Created in honour of Reefton legend Little Biddy, a pipe-smoking, gin-toting, 4 foot tall gold prospector. Our search for native botanicals takes us deep into the same West Coast rainforest where Biddy once fossicked for gold, to craft a uniquely New Zealand selection of small batch distilled gins with attitude.
Hand crafted and small batch distilled in a bespoke copper pot still, Reid + Reid Native Gin is a unique New Zealand gin created in Martinborough by Stew and Chris Reid.
After a two year mission to forage the landscapes of NZ for aromatic native plants that best compliment a classic dry gin, the brothers settled on Kawakawa, Manuka and Horopito making it a quintessential New Zealand gin.

Non-chill-filtered this evocation of old-fashioned gin production methods renders a spirit with a distinctly jaundiced hue. They take their inspiration from the Royal Navy's regulation measure of Vitamin C for all hands, as well as the parallel history of the East India company and its globe-spanning trade in tea as an adjunct of Empire (with the might of the RN in a supporting role).
Most excellent with grapefruit juice for a 'Salty Sea Dog', it also pairs well with oloroso sherry.
