On Giant's Shoulders

Planted in the early 1980s, the On Giants’ Shoulders vineyard was once most known as the source of fruit for Escarpment’s Pahi label. As the new custodians, we intend to build on the reputation this vineyard has acquired and help it evolve further. Wilco Lam, formerly chief winemaker at Dry River, leads the winemaking team as Chief Winemaker for On Giants’ Shoulders. Wilco is joined by Sarah Bartlett as Winery General Manager, Sam Rouse as Winemaker, James Pittard as Vineyard Manager, Mckenzie Smith as Machinery Operator and Michelle Mills as Vineyard Staff Supervisor. The new team at On Giants’ Shoulders will continue nurturing the land and crafting fine wines that express Martinborough’s iconic terroir.
