A blend of four clones of Pinot noir; AM10/5 planted in 1982, Abel and UCD5 planted in 2000 and 828 planted in 2011, were meticulously hand-harvested in mid-March. The fruit was then hand-sorted in the winery, with 56% whole clusters included in the fermenter. Fermentation occurred spontaneously after a number of days of ambient soak.
Extraction was gently, with the wine being pressed after 23 days on skins. Decanted to barrel; 20% of which were new, the wine aged for 12 months in oak where spontaneous MLF occurred.
Blended in March 2019, the wine rested for six months prior to bottling in September 2019 without filtration or fining.
