the Back Block Pinot Noir will definitely appeal to those who like their Pinot light and spicy. Its a softly-styled example with a slightly funky vein running through the mid-palate and a dried herb note on the finish.
The grapes were hand picked and hand sorted. Two clones were specifically chosen for this wine (Clone 5 & 10/5) for a delicate structure, palate weight and aromatics. Fermented naturally and left on skins for 15 days before being left in French oak barrels for 15 months to mature.
this wine is unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur prior to bottling!
