Hare’s Run Pinot Noir 2016
"We have seven Pinot Noir clones in our vineyard, equal amounts of each (113, 114, 115, 10/5, 777, 667, 5). Seven tonnes of grapes were harvested in 2016 at approximately 23 brix. In the winery, about 20% of the grapes were whole bunched pressed by hand in a basket press, and the rest were then de-stemmed and pressed. The wine was barrel fermented with 15% new French oak for 10 months, before filtering and bottling. Hare’s Run Pinot Noir has vibrant berry flavours, rich spice with the subtle, yet distinct, minerality that comes from the ancient riverbed on which these vines grow in Dakins Road". ~ Hare's Run
