This Pinot Noir is a blend of separate parcels of fruit grown in the Martinborough Village and blended together to create this fruit driven full bodied wine that can be enjoyed now or further enhanced with a couple of years bottle age.
Raspberry fruit and spice on the nose is followed by a full-bodied palate with richness and ripe tannins. A great example of this variety.
Born of the belief that whisky is a living cultural icon to be shared, Thomson Whisky started life unearthing rare and precious stocks of whisky, making them available to enthusiasts once more. Now with a new distillery in operation North West of Auckland, the team are also helping to insure the longevity of New Zealand’s whisky making tradition.
Two Tone refers to the two kinds of cask used for the maturation of this whisky; European oak which formerly held New Zealand red wine and American white oak used exclusively for whisky. Find sea air and caramelised fruits on the nose, followed by red berries, apricot and spice on the palate.
In place of an age statement the infinity symbol marking this bottling is symbolic of the marriage of casks.
A navy strength gin with the additional flavours of lime peel and gunpowder green tea. 57% abv.
Non-chill-filtered this evocation of old-fashioned gin production methods renders a spirit with a distinctly jaundiced hue. We take our inspiration from the Royal Navy's regulation measure of vitamin C for all hands, as well as the parallel history of the East India compnay and its globe-spanning trade in tea as an adjunct ot Empire (with the might of the RN in a supporting role).
Most excellent with grapefuit juice for a 'Salty Sea Dog', it also pairs well with oloroso sherry.
We're two Wellington brothers who love Gin. So much so that we started our own craft Gin distillery.
And while we love a classic London Dry, we wanted to create something of our own, and put New Zealand's native plants to use. That's why Reid + Reid Gin uses three native New Zealand botanicals - Manuka, Kawakawa and Horopito - in conjunction with traditional Gin botanicals.
The result is a uniquely peppery, spicy and fragrant gin, suited to a G&T, Negroni, Martini, or even just a nice chunky ice cube.
