Grava produces high quality Pinot Noir, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc using modern viticultural and oenological methods, but in a boutique vineyard and winery. The grapes are grown with sustainable viticultural practices, and are hand-harvested, to ensure that fruit of optimum characteristics is produced to ferment and blend into wines of excellent quality.
Viticulturalist and winemaker Alistair Gardner oversees the viticultural activities during all stages of vine upkeep, crop growth and fruit harvesting, to ensure the grapes delivered for processing and fermentation have the best possible qualities. He then uses modern and traditional oenological methods, coupled with knowledge gained from extensive international experience, to produce wines of the highest quality.
Attention to detail, and the use of time-honoured methods coupled with the latest oenological knowledge, characterise the grava vineyard and winery operations.
