Nice fresh, youthful vibrance to the appearance. A typically very highly perfumed Blue Rock Pinot bouquet of high-toned red cherry andfine floral notes. I see some extra silty brown earthy aromas which add a “darker”dimension not generally seen in Blue Rock. The oak is sitting nicely, adding somecomplexity and support and is not a dominant feature overall.
On tasting there is an abundance of rich and silky textures across the palate carryingwith them elegant and ripe flavours . The tannins are ripe, rich and weighty balancedby a fine thread of acidity. A full flavoured yet elegant wine. Lovely energy and tensionthrough the mid palate with great length and purity.
This is delicious now but willcellar and drink beautifully for 10 plus years. Probably be at its’ best from 2024 onwards.
