Johner Estate Pinot Gris 2016
Selected Wairarapa fruit was blended with Johner Estates own Pinot Gris and given barrel fermentation in seasoned oak which results in a softness allowing the rich fruit characters of pear and spice to be evident. On the nose you will find green apple and spice with hints of apricot leading into flavours of ripe pear with a hint of walnut and marzipan. A beautifully balanced wine with a natural sweetness of fruit, harmonious rounded and textured wine. Very good with antipasto, poultry and pork dishes, especially good with things with a touch of spice.
