Vines from our original plantings surrounding the winery, now in their 31st year, consistently produce our best quality fruit. A generally warm and bountiful year gave rise to ripe fruit flavours, but will be remembered for the second consecutive season when La Nina came to play. Regular autumn rain delayed harvest and necessitated careful fruit selection by our loyal crew. The resulting wine is powerful and complex and displays the velvet structure and sweet, plummy fruit typical of top Martinborough Pinot Noir. Cellared appropriately it should provide excellent drinking to 2031 and beyond.
